Dr Vincent Fogliati
Principal Clinical Psychologist
PhD, MClinPsych, BAPsych(Hons)
Vincent is a clinical psychologist with more than a decade of experience working in private practice, research, and public hospital settings. He has considerable experience and training in helping adult clients with a wide range of presentations, including anxiety and mood disorders, work stress and performance anxiety, chronic pain, and general life dissatisfaction.
Vincent completed a combined Master of Clinical Psychology and PhD at Macquarie University, where he also completed a post-doctoral fellowship investigating the effects of Telehealth treatments on mood and anxiety disorders. Vincent has continued to be actively involved in academic research and has published numerous research papers and book chapters on the effect of negative gender stereotypes on test anxiety and performance, the effectiveness of mindfulness in improving workplace engagement, and the effects of Telehealth treatments for anxiety and depression. He has also been invited to deliver presentations by several organisations, including Google Australia, the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science, the Anxiety Practitioners Network, and Australian National University.
Vincent was awarded the Australian Psychological Society Clinical College Student Prize in 2013, in recognition of his skills in both clinical practice and clinically-relevant research.
Vincent has a passion for applying acceptance- and mindfulness-based approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to help clients overcome barriers to achieving valued and meaningful outcomes in their lives. He is a trained Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy facilitator and has delivered seminars on the psychological benefits of mindfulness for people with cancer. He also has experience and training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy, which he often draws upon in his clinical practice.
Vincent is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a Board-approved supervisor. He is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science. Vincent is registered to provide Medicare services.
Vincent offers consultations in person at our practice in Croydon, and via Telehealth. He consults on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
